The exhibition, which will premiere March 7th, 2015, promises to showcase 20 years of work including everything from music, films, objects, instruments, costumes, performance to the artist’s hybrid software app Biophilia, which is the first app ever to enter the institutions notorious collection.

“Björk is an extraordinarily innovative artist whose contributions to contemporary music, video, film, fashion, and art have had a major impact on her generation worldwide,” said Mr. Biesenbach. “This highly experimental exhibition offers visitors a direct experience of her hugely collaborative body of work.”

The exhibition culminates with a newly commissioned, immersive music and film experience conceived and realized with director Andrew Huang and 3-D design leader Autodesk.
