PRADA’S NEW COMIC

PRADA’S NEW COMIC

In 2011, we saw her in Jean-Paul Goude’s short performing a provocative dance with her piano teacher. In 2013, we saw her prancing about in Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola’s series of films. And now frequent Visionaire contributor and illustrator extraordinaire Francois Berthoud has elegantly penned the next chapter in this glamour girl’s adventures.

Do you know who we’re talking about?

It’s of course Prada’s own it-girl Candy (normally portrayed by the fresh-faced Léa Seydoux).
Rendered in black and pink, the classical comic-strip style advert sees Candy calling out for a new perfume, which she demands be made from flowers. To the benefit of us all, the Prada universe takes her request to heart and has given us a new fragrance named Candy Florale.

Blended by Daniele Andrier, the fragrance is based on a concept of an imaginary flower created especially for Candy. With notes of limoncello sorbet at the top, flower of peony in the heart and a base composed of benzoin, musk, caramel and honey, the smell is essence of modern romance.
