Beijing’s super highways —the overpasses, underpasses, cross-crossing of moving people —is the physical incarnation of our bodies and the World Wide Web. What looks like a tangled mess of arteries and veins is actually a highly evolved organism of movement and communication.
The focal point is Mei Yuangui, standing like a symbol of past and present, connecting the virtual with the physical through Dong Jie’s photography.
These 2 long-standing friends reunite after not seeing each other for 10 years. Dong Jie wanted to “capture the moment;” a little 80s nostalgia.
